John W. Thompson was Chief Executive Officer of Symantec, the global leader in cybersecurity.

During the 10 years of Thompson’s leadership, Symantec grew their revenue from $600 million to $6 billion annually. Thompson helped transform Symantec into a global leader in internet security, storage and systems management solutions.

Prior to Symantec, Thompson held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility during his 28 years at IBM. Thompson recently retired as CEO of Virtual Instruments.

Thompson is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Wetland America Trust. Thompson also

served on the National Board of Teach for America.
