In this Inside the Vaults video short, the creators of the 2010 exhibit Discovering the Civil War share little-known facts and extraordinary discoveries from the Civil War holdings at the National Archives. The video also features rarely-seen original footage from Civil War reunions in 1917 in Vicksburg, MS, and 1938 in Gettysburg, PA. These materials were shared for the first time in the exhibition, the most extensive display ever assembled from the National Archives.

To see more of the exhibit, visit http://www.archives.gov/exhibits/civi....
