Ebenezer Baptist Church’s senior pastor, the Rev. Raphael Warnock , made history when he won his race for the U.S. Senate against incumbent Kelly Loeffler . With his victory, Warnock became the first Black person to represent the state of Georgia as a United States Senator. He also became only the 11 th Black member of the Senate in the entire history of the United States.
