“Real Housewives of Atlanta” reality diva Porsha Williams has begun using her platform to make her voice heard about the racial injustices plaguing the country.
Williams, whose grandfather is the late civil rights leader Hosea Williams, has participated in protests following the deaths of George Floyd, who died on Memorial Day in Minneapolis after an officer kneeled on his neck, and Breonna Taylor, who was shot in her home by police in Louisville, Kentucky, in March during a botched drug raid.
Williams is now making it known that she is proud of her grandfather Hosea’s legacy.
She recently uploaded pictures of Hosea Williams, then a leader in the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, marching with present-day congressman John Lewis at the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, on March 7, 1965, a day that would come to be known as “Bloody Sunday.”
Also, Williams, fellow housewife Kandi Burruss, and “Real Housewives of Potomac” reality star Gizelle Bryant are collaborating with Bravo TV on Monday, June 8, for an open dialogue on being Black in America.
