Activity at the Kick ‘em Jenny undersea volcano, north of Grenada, has returned to normal, University of the West Indies seismologists said Thursday.And, while the alert level remains yellow, the Department of Emergency Management (DEM) said there is no need for Barbadians to take any action at this time.But DEM Director Kerry Hinds has urged the public to continue to follow the emergency agency, and the Barbados Government Information Service’s various media platforms for updates.Between 11:14 p.m. on February 9 and 3 a.m. on Sunday, an increase in seismic activity at the submarine volcano was recorded. That activity has subsided in magnitude and frequency to almost a complete stop since then.
