From near-miss storms and frightening viruses to the threat of disastrous chemical accidents, environmental hazards hung like a huge cloud over the Virgin Islands in 2022. But there were bright interludes, too, with hotel and restaurant openings and real, live festivals signaling a return of the Good Times.
