It has been said, “This is not who we are as a nation,“ regarding the January 6th attacks and insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Those who don’t follow 45 could state, “This is exactly who we are, from the beginning in 1776.” Both statements can be correct. They are not mutually exclusive.
For those who think “This is not us,” you aspire for our America to be better than this, past racism, and moving closer to true equality.
