West Indies continued their shambolic run of form after losing to India by an innings and 141 runs, with two days remaining, in their first Test match in Roseau, Dominica, on Friday.
India resumed day-three on 312/2, with a first innings lead of 162. They continued their good form with the bat and piled on 421/5, before declaring with a 271-run lead.
West Indies however, showed no fight and were reeling at 32/4 after just 17 overs. Openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul scored seven each.
For the second time, Test debutant Alick Athanaze top scored for West Indies with his knock of 28. Jason Holder finished on 20 not out our while Jomel Warrican scored 18 from 18 balls. They eventually capitualted for an embarrassing 130 runs.
Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin decimated the maroon in their second innings, bagging 7/71, on the heels of five scalps in the first innings. Ravindra Jadeja had 2/38.
The second and final Test bowls off at the Queen's Park Oval in St Clair on Thursday.
