A Las Vegas white woman is being charged with a hate crime after verbally abusing an Asian family and punching their 6-year-old son in the neck, Yahoo reports. The woman has been identified as Shelly Hill. In an interview with AsAmNews, the boy’s mother, who requested to be identified by her TikTok handle @uhmmajo, said that the incident happened outside of the Shop at Crystals on the Las Vegas Strip during the July 4th holiday weekend. “My husband was walking with my son holding his hand,” she explained. “I was with my 2-year-old daughter pushing her in a stroller. She [Hill] came from behind and punched my son in the neck.” She said her husband grabbed their son and protected him as she yelled at the woman. “She was yelling things like ‘I know what you people do. You people eat your children. It’s your fault,'” she continued.
