A 22-year-old man was shot and killed yesterday afternoon by a licensed firearm holder at One Mile, Wismar, Linden.
The dead man has been identified as Kevin Orin Batson of Victory Valley, Linden.
Investigations, this newspaper was told revealed that Batson and his accomplice allegedly robbed Campbell of a quantity of cash, his cellular phone and other valuables before escaping on foot.
The suspects were subsequently confronted by Campbell, who discharged several rounds at them.
The police, who were reportedly in the area at the time were alerted and they cornered Batson.
