General Secretary of the Unity Workers’ Union (UWU) Caswell Franklyn is threatening to take action against the National Sports Council (NSC) over its decision not to renew the contract of Superintendent of the National Stadium Ivor Worrell.Franklyn has alleged that Worrell, who held the position since January 2020, was unfairly dismissed and has warned that unless he is reinstated, he will be taking the matter to the Employment Rights Tribunal.“I will not let it rest,” he insisted.According to the union leader, Worrell was advised by NSC’s management two weeks ago that his contract would not be renewed at the end of July.
