The Trinidad and Tobago Under-21 netballers made it three wins on the trot and confirmed a spot in the semifinals with another convincing victory at the 2025 Netball World Youth Cup qualifying tournament, being held in Guadeloupe.
On July 10, TT recorded another comfortable win as they got past Antigua and Barbuda 66-17.
TT led 26-10 at half-time which was followed by an even stronger performance in the second half. The junior Calypso girls outscored Antigua and Barbuda 40-7 in the second half to seal the win.
The TT defence prevented Antigua and Barbuda from scoring in the final five minutes and 30 seconds of the game. TT captain and goal defence Destiny Williams was awarded the player of the match award.
The Calypso Girls were expected to get their toughest test of the group stage against Barbados after press time on July 11. The knock-out phase begins on July 13. TT need to finish in the top three of the qualifying tournament to book a place at the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 in Gibraltar.
TT crushed St Maarten 62-23 in their opener on July 9. Later that day, TT controlled the match against Guadeloupe to win 106-4.
Maikea Bramble and Shaniya Morgan have led the way for TT on the offensive end of the court.
