[Observer] Children at school struggle to maintain self-esteem, and battle for popularity, grades, social rankings among others, when a teacher portray them as unworthy or shames them. Their self-respect and self-assurance are undermined and ultimately they lose standing in a social hierarchy and experience a sense of being small before their counterparts.
