The second day of the 2025 budget debate yesterday saw Shadow Home Affairs Minister Khemraj Ramjattan criticising the government’s allocation for security, charging that it “placed too much emphasis on infrastructure development at the expense of human capacity building and addressing systemic vulnerabilities in the justice and law enforcement sectors”.
