[VOA] Mogadishu, Somalia -- The recent presidential elections in the self-declared Republic of Somaliland have concluded with a landslide victory for Abdirahman Mohamed Abdullahi, commonly known as Irro. He competed against the incumbent president, Muse Bihi Abdi. Irro could reopen dialogue with the federal government of Somalia that stalled after Bihi signed a Memorandum of Understanding that leases a portion of land and sea to Ethiopia in exchange for recognition.
