They bombed the police headquarters, held hostages, including the Prime Minister, at all three locations and demanded the Government and military surrender. They demanded that the prime minister resign and their leader be made Minister of National Security. They also demanded elections be called within 90 days. This resulted in a standoff which lasted until their surrender six days later.
