Shaq's Daughter To Leave LSU To Play For HBCU Texas Southern University This Fall - Blavity

Basketball Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal ’s daughter, Amirah O’Neal, announced in an Instagram post that she will play basketball for Texas Southern University this fall. View this post on Instagram A post shared by @amirahoneal_ The 19-year-old, who previously played for her father’s alma mater Louisiana State University (LSU), will join her younger brother, Shaqir -- who also has plans to play for the HBCU 's men’s basketball team this fall -- HBCU Gameday reported . The teen, who was a walk-on at LSU, averaged 17.2 points per game during the 2018 – 2019 season. In 2019, she earned the MaxPreps California All-State Girls Team honorable mention and was named a two-time All-state honoree. Amirah will now play under hall of famer Cynthia Cooper-Dyke at TSU and will have a better chance of making it to the SWAC Championship. She may soon be joined by her younger sister, Me’Arah, who also plays basketball. Me’Arah has received offers from Division I colleges and universities and...
