The bank got the accolade from Great Place To Work – described as "the global authority in creating, sustaining and recognising high-trust, high performance culture at workplaces."
Great Place To Work evaluates organisations on their efforts to create great workplaces which have an impact on people, communities and the world. The 2024 list of best workplaces in the region was compiled by the Great Place To Work Institute. Scotiabank got the title in the category of businesses with more than 1,000 employees.
In the release, Scotiabank expressed its commitment to meeting the needs of its employees. The bank said it has enhanced paternity leave from three days to four weeks in 2022, then to eight weeks in the past year.
Scotiabank added it has improved benefits and allowances for employees and continued to provide training and development programmes to help employees advance their careers.
