The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has announced that Dr Rowley will be out of the country on a private trip.
He will spend the weekend in Barbados.
In a statement on Friday, the OPM said Minister of Finance Colm Imbert will act as Prime Minister until Rowley’s return.
