U.S. Rep. Steve King lost his House seat to State Sen. Randy Feenstra this past Tuesday.
King lost the seat after holding it for over two decades losing to Feenstra 45.7% of the vote to King’s 36%, holding a under 8,000 vote advantage, according to unofficial results from the Iowa Secretary of State’s office.
A number of candidates rushed to overthrow King in the 2020 primary, however Randy Feenstra would rise as the clear frontrunner in a state GOP leadership favor.
With veteran Rep. seat holder Steve King losing his seat, Is this the beginning of true progress to deny racism?
Only time will tell as the Feenstra era begins in Iowa, as the road to November heats up.
