Defending champions Pinelands was among four teams that booked their spots in the semifinals of the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association (BABA) President’s Cup on Sunday.Pinelands, along with C.A.M Smart Assurance City United Celtics, Fusionz Boutique Station Hill Cavaliers and Burger King Clapham Bulls all advanced to the last four with comfortable victories at the Barbados Community College (BCC).The men from the Pine ensured that the dreadful season for A&C Security Services Spartans continued by thumping them 94-79.For Pinelands, Rasheed Maynard had a game high 27 points, Kiserian Adams had 24, Deroni Hurley 15 and Rachad Hall 12.Kadian Brathwaite top scored for the Spartans with 21 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while veteran Dale Franklyn had his best game of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Sean Harding contributed 14 points.
