Regulation should follow innovation, yet innovation sometimes, could be evolving at a faster pace than regulation. Nigerian SEC has been gung ho about its efforts to engage industry operators to fast-track regulatory clarity of a crypto sector and technology that poses risk to both consumers and national security. Still, the regulator is confident it will get it right in its mission to catch up with the fast-growing sector.
