Dr. Worrill made a lasting impact at the MWRD, where every February he served as a master of ceremonies for Black History Month celebrations, lecturing to MWRD employees and students alike, who gained a critical understanding from his astute knowledge for African American history and appreciation.
A civil rights activist, educator, organizer, scholar, writer and talk show host who advocated for African independence, Dr. Worrill devoted more than 50 years to advocating for the rights of people of African descent living throughout the world.
