MUNROE Road Cricket Club's U-19 team leaves for Guyana today on a ten-day cricket tour.
The young cricketers will play three 50-over and three T20 games against the Georgetown, Everest and Rose Hall Cricket Clubs. Manohar Ramsaran, president of the Munroe Road Cricket Club, heads the travelling group of 25, which includes parents, management and 15 players. Included in the touring party is 12-year-old Saveer Rambaran, a right-arm leg spinner. The team is captained by Aaron Basant, a young and promising left-handed batsman and he will be assisted by left-arm orthodox spinner Zachary Madray.
The team returns on August 30.
