Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich announced that Maryland's most populous jurisdiction will enter the first phase of its reopening plan Monday amid the coronavirus pandemic.
This first phase can be successful if all of us do our part and follow the guidelines."
Starting at 6 a.m. Monday, businesses can operate by curbside pickup only and restaurants and bars with outdoor seating may reopen and their curbside pickup service can continue.
Barbershops and hair salons may open by appointment only and outdoor day camps and youth sports must follow state health department guidelines to function.
Businesses and services such as swimming pools, senior centers, fitness centers, movie theaters, shopping malls and nail salons will remain shuttered.
