Conduent, one of the leading call centre operations in Montego Bay, St James has sent home its staff as a precaution after the mother of an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.
The workers were sent home shortly after 1 p.m. today.
It is reported that the employee’s mother recently returned to Jamaica from the United States.
The decision to send home the workers comes months after an outbreak at the Alorica Call Centre in Portmore, St Catherine.
Of the just over 638 COVID cases in Jamaica up to yesterday, 236 are linked to Alorica.
