Minneapolis, MN — The Minneapolis Police Department has been under fire following the violent arrest that led to the death of George Floyd, an unarmed African American man.
Now the police department has released the audio of the 911 call that started the whole a routine police call was made to report Floyd who had allegedly used counterfeit money to buy cigarettes at a corner store in downtown Minneapolis.
Caller: Um someone comes our store and give us fake bills and we realize it before he left the store, and we ran back outside, they was sitting on their car.
Caller: Ah it’s on 38th St.
Operator: On 38th St. So, this guy gave a counterfeit bill, has your cigarettes, and he’s under the influence of something?
