According to police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala, police officers patrolled Wakesleigh Road in Bellair after receiving complaints of drug-related activities in the area.
He was swiftly arrested and taken to Bellair police station for detention.
He will be appearing in the Durban Magistrate's Court soon, facing a charge of possession of drugs.
The recovered drugs have an estimated street value of R1 450 000," Gwala said.
KwaZulu-Natal provincial police commissioner Lieutenant-General Khombinkosi Jula hailed the arrest and commended the dedication of the arresting officers to remove drugs from the province's streets.
