Trinidad and Tobago's Makeda Bain and Guyanese Nathan De Nobrega will be aiming for two titles on the final day of the Sagicor Junior Tennis tournament at National Racquet Centre in Tacarigua on July 11.
On July 10, both players showed their qualify in semifinal matches.
Bain defeated fellow TT player Madison Khan in the girls 16-and-Under singles semifinals 6-0, 6-1. In the other semifinal, Lilly Mohammed got past Shiloh Walker 6-1, 6-0 in a TT showdown.
Bain also sealed a spot in the finals of the senior girls doubles division as she teamed up with Walker to breeze past Karissa Mohammed and Lilly 6-1, 6-1. Bain and Walker will face Christiana Hills and Naomi Mohammed in the finals.
Hills and Naomi had to battle to defeat Laura-Li Maillard and Charis Salina 6-3, 7-5.
De Nobrega advanced to the boys singles 14-and-Under final with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over TT's Jack Brown. St Lucian Denney Estava had a strong showing against Novak Malcolm of TT with a 6-0, 6-2 win in the other semifinal.
Later in the day, De Nobrega and Estava joined forces to beat TT pair Justin Duncan and Malcolm 6-1, 6-2 in the doubles category. The result of the other semifinal was unavailable up to press time.
The final day of the tournament continues at 10 am on July 11.
