Sony Pictures is continuing to expand the Spider-Man universe in its own way with the upcoming Madame Web , starring Dakota Johnson and Sydney Sweeney. The trailer below shows some glimpses of some deep-dive comic book characters, such as Spider-Woman, aka Mattie Franklin, played by Celeste O’Connor. Billed as a standalone story and teased as taking place in an alternate universe New York, Madame Web follows Cassandra Webb, who has precognitive abilities to tell the future. This allows her to help save others from harmful fates.
