HBCU Xavier University in New Orleans, LA was the hub of Black entertainment on Tuesday. The fifth annual MACRO HBCU Summit took place this week, sponsored by Prime Video and SheaMoisture. The microfestival started with notables like actor/musician Kofi Siriboe, TikTok Global Head of Creator Marketing Kudzi Chikumbu, costume designer Charlese Antoinette and Infinity Ward’s co-studio head Mark Grigsby are scheduled to appear, among others. Siriboe, Chikumbu, Grigsby and Antoinette will be in conversation with summit moderator and MACRO Chief Brand Officer Stacey Walker King. Prime Video’s Culture Rated x MACRO Block Party, including food trucks, DJs, giveaways and raffles, will cap off the night. The summit serves as a way to bring Hollywood to HBCUs and its students.
