LONDON, England (AFP) British police say they have been investigating the criminal damage of a statue of former Ethiopian Emperor Haile Selassie, which was smashed in a London park.Emperor Selassie, who visited Jamaica in the 1960s, is revered by Jamaica's Rastafarians, with some regarding him as their god. A Jamaican high school is named in his honour.
