An early morning landslide on Monday completely blocked the road at Colombette, Soufriere, forcing buses travelling the Castries to Soufriere route to make a diversion through Vieux Fort, an Infrastructure Ministry official says. According to the official, in addition to bringing down two trees, the landslide affected utility poles, lowering power lines. He told St Lucia Times that the St. Lucia Electricity Services Limited (LUCELEC) was working with Ministry of Infrastructure personnel to get the 7-foot high soil and debris, estimated to be some 200 cubic metres, safely cleared away from the road. Residents say that in addition to the
