Eldoret — Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates has announced the resumption of its scheduled cargo services to Eldoret.
The route will be served by Emirates' Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, twice a week, this is in addition to the airline's passenger freighter service to Nairobi.
Emirates Cargo Manager, East Africa, Saeed Abdulla, said that Eldoret is a key hub that serves the west of Nairobi as it has over the years allowed Kenyan businesses to export directly to overseas markets.
Acting as a global conveyor belt for the transport of essential supplies including protective equipment, medical devices, pharmaceuticals and food, Emirates SkyCargo operates cargo flights with its Boeing 777-300ER passenger freighters and its dedicated Boeing 777 freighters to over 80 destinations on scheduled and special charter services.
Drawing on its expertise as a global leader for the transportation of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, since the pandemic broke out around the world, Emirates SkyCargo has been playing a key role in transporting personal protective equipment, medical equipment, devices and pharmaceuticals.
