And why are so many people refusing to wear masks, citing a violation of their First Amendment rights, as reported by CNN and NBC?
Suffering is all right for people, but when White people are forced to suffer, along with everyone else, they complain – and at least some of them pick up their guns.
And these disgruntled White Americans who refuse to wear a mask and practice social distancing don’t care if they get other people sick.
From Native Americans, to enslaved Africans, to the Latinx community, women, the Japanese after World War II, Muslims – so many groups of people have had to learn how to “grin and bear it” as their rights have been stomped on, denied, and taken away not to protect themselves and other people, but rather to uphold and maintain the white power structure.
These rules are not being put in place to bring White people down; they are being put in place to save vast numbers of people from a disease that doesn’t care if one is White and Republican or Black and Democrat.
