Two graduating Riverside High School seniors hold their cap, gown and yardsign denoting their milestone achievement recently.
The students received their “graduation kit” at their school—from their parents’ cars, just as thousands of graduating MPS high schoolers did around the city as graduation ceremonies were cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the shut down of schools, businesses, and other institutions/entities around the city, state, and nation.
MPS officials say multiple graduation ceremonies will be held June 1 and 5 on the district’s YouTube channel.
If deemed safe enough, MPS says students will have an opportunity to walk across a stage in August.
