A 28-year-old Gasparillo woman was killed on August 13 after a man allegedly known to her chased her down and struck her with his car.
Initial reports said that at around 10 pm, Keifer Wilson, 28, of Caratal Road, Gasparillo, was in a white Toyota Aqua driven by a man, who police said is from Massachusetts in the US, heading south the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway when another a grey Mazda 3 cut them off near the Gandhi Village roundabout, Debe, causing the cars to collide.
Everyone got out of their cars and began arguing.
Wilson and the US citizen, 42, tried running away by crossing the median onto the northbound lane of the highway. The other driver, who police said is from Maraval, got back into his car and drove into Wilson at the roundabout, sending her into the median.
She died on the spot.
Police took the Maraval driver to the San Fernando General Hospital and then to the police station where he remains in custody.
