RDM Footgolf will host an event on June 4 to help raise funds for Sidara Akalloo, who is battling cancer.
Akalloo, 11, a student at Grant Memorial Presbyterian Primary School, sat the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) on April 21. It was weeks after the other SEA students sat the exam.
She was unable to sit the exam on March 31 with her classmates as at the time she was battling with her health.
Akalloo was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia a year ago.
The event will be held at the Brechin Castle Golf Course in Couva from 8 am to 4 pm, on June 4. All interested people are required to pay $100.
People interested in supporting Akalloo can make a deposit to Republic Bank St Augustine - 160126737601. It is a chequing account and the deposits will go directly to Akalloo’s family.

Damian Daniel, one of the founders at RDM Footgolf, said the organisation wants to do their part to help Akalloo.
“She is a family friend, so we are just trying to do something for her. What we did is we reached out to the Sport Company (of TT) and they are giving us the golf course…we have exclusive use of the course and we are just selling time slots where you can book a time where you and a group could come out and then the proceeds will go to the family.”
Footgolf is a combination of football and golf.
“It is not really a tournament, it is really to come out and enjoy the footgolf and give to a cause,” Daniel said.
