[Addis Standard] Wheat holds a pivotal role in Ethiopia's agricultural landscape. As the country's second most important staple crop, it is crucial to the nation's food security. Traditionally, wheat cultivation has been concentrated in Ethiopia's highlands, but this has changed with the introduction of the ADAPT-Wheat project, an initiative designed to tackle the production challenges faced by Ethiopia's irrigated lowland areas. The project, spearheaded by CIMMYT in partnership with the Ethiopian Institute of
