Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announced that Alameda resident Sarah Lynn New, 45, has been charged with three felony counts of Embezzlement in violation of Penal Code Section 503. If convicted and sentenced on the three felony charges, Ms. New faces nine years in prison. The complaint alleges that on or about April 1, April 17, and April 18, Ms. New withdrew thousands of dollars from the bank account of the non-profit Alameda Gators Swim Team.
