Martin Luther King Jr. is often the first name that comes to mind when one thinks of a civil rights movement leader.
Coretta Scott King is known as the wife of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., but more than that, she was also a dedicated civil rights activist.
Her dedication resulted in the national holiday on January 15th: Martin Luther King Jr. day, a tribute to his life, death, and dedication to the economic, political, and social advancement of black people.
King never allowed the death of her husband never stopped her solo activism work, and created the Martin Luther King Jr.
Like the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., we should strive to remember that of Coretta, her work, achievements, and dedication to eradicating inequality anywhere that it exists.
