Los Angeles (BNC) — Jay Pharoah told TMZ officials that he was jogging down a San Fernando Valley street, when multiple LAPD cops pulled their guns on him, ordered him to drop to the ground, and one officer proceeded to put his knee on Jay’s neck while he was defenseless laying on the ground.
Jay was told by the confronting police officers that he matched a description of a Black suspect wearing “grey sweatpants”.
Jay posted the video Friday night, and said the incident went down approximately one week before Ahmaud Arbery‘s murder.
Jay ended by saying:, “My parents tried to shield me from racism, but now as black men, we have the knowledge and we have the power to overthrow,” adding, “I’m Jay Pharoah, and I’m a black man in America and my life matters.
Black lives always matter.”
