Colman Domingo is entrenched in Oscar buzz, in large part due to his acclaimed turn as gay civil rights icon Bayard Rustin in Netflix’s Rustin as well as his supporting turn in Blitz Bazawule’s adaptation of The Color Purple musical. But Domingo is also taking time to talk about his Emmy-winning role on HBO’s Euphoria . In an interview with The Independent , Domingo is responding to reports that season 2 of Euphoria was a toxic work environment due to the mistreatment of the actors. “I’m not gonna invalidate [anyone’s] experience. But working in television is long hours,” Domingo said. “Sometimes you work up to 14 hours a day. And then you have to go home and prep. You have to really live and work in a very methodical way.
