The National Centre for Persons with Disabilities hosted a ceremony at its head office in San Fernando for representatives of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in appreciation of their donation of $168,000 towards buying computer equipment for the organisation.

The ceremony was attended by Stephen Creese, CEO at the NCPD, and Kory and Diane Sellers, humanitarian missionaries for the Latter-Day Saints, as well as leaders from the church in Trinidad, a media release said.

The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints, along with other organisations, continues to support the needs of the centre as the institution strives to ensure everyone with a special need is afforded access to the same rights, privileges and opportunities as other citizens, the release said.
