Like unhealed victims of domestic violence, after a high profile racist murder, Black folks begin to plead to racist Whites for justice and respect publicly.
It is a weak position, not inspiring Black power, respect, autonomy, or possibility.
S. system, Black, especially dark Black skin, if not dominated, is indeed a threat.
That would be obvious if it were not for the disorienting effect of White approval dependency Black people are conditioned to value.
If Black skin were not a threat, George Floyd, Sandra Bland, among thousands before them and since, would not have been murdered.
