The world watched the video of Chauvin kneeling on Floyd for nine minutes as he said, 'I can't breathe.' Since that day, protests erupted across the world, calling for an end to police violence and excessive use of force. Floyd's family received civil justice with a historic $27 million settlement from the city of Minneapolis. Criminal justice was received after a jury found Chauvin guilty on all counts.
