Luanda — Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, one more covid-19 recovery case and two positive ones, informed the secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, last Thursday.
During the usual covid-19 incidence update meeting with journalists, Franco Mufinda revealed that the recovered case belongs to the Cuban doctor who was part of the contingent that, on 10 April, arrived in Angola to support the government's efforts to fight the pandemic.
The positive cases, he said, involve a 25-year old citizen from Guinea-Conakry, who lives in the Hoji-Ya-Henda neighborhood, in Luanda Province's Municipality of Cazenza, and the Angolan citizen, also 25, who resides in Kilamba Kiaxi Municipality, Luanda Province as well.
"Both tested positive and until the diagnosis they were in institutional quarantine", revealed the secretary of State for Public Health.
Thus, Angola has 60 positive cases, including three deaths, 18 recoveries and 39 active cases (clinically stable), 32 of which were locally transmitted.
