Luanda — Due to the fact that only 69 positive cases of the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were registered, three months after the first infections were detected Angola was selected to transmit its experience in preventing and fighting this pandemic.
Without further details, the interim representative of the World Health Organization to Angola, Javier Aaramburu, has said that the country integrates, since last week, a group of eight states that, due to their competence in tackling positive cases of the new coronavirus (Covid-19), stressing that these countries must be seen as world examples to follow.
Speaking at the usual data update briefing on the disease in the country, the diplomat said he was not aware of several speculative issues about the new coronavirus involving Angola, adding that this African country is a source of pride and lesson for many affected states.
The national health authorities registered, in the last 24 hours, eight more positive cases, increasing the numbers to a total of 69, split in 4 deaths, 18 recoveries, 47 currently sick (clinically stable).
These are cases of local infection, involving cases 26 and 50, which increases the number of locally transmitted cases to 41.
