"We want the arts and entertainment fraternity on the islands to know about us and the work we are doing to shine a light on African culture around the world. They can become an active part of the movement and gain global recognition through our extensive networks.

"Last year we had our first ever awardee from TT, KG (Khalif Greaves) win the Best Upcoming Artist award,” Tamin said in the release.

I look forward to educating more creatives on these islands about AEAUSA so everyone can have a fair chance in their respective categories,” said Ises, who is also a professional model.

Tamin said there will be an after-party celebration following his announcement of local nominees at the gala. TT acts Isasha, King David, Black Loyalty, KG, Mello, Kid Volt, Rassii, 2020 Young Kings winner Banjela and Tobagonian Anomaly and others are set to appear.
