[spotlight] It is a well-known fact that the prevalence of HIV in South Africa is among the highest in the world. A lesser-known fact is that people living with HIV can be charged with attempted murder for exposing others to or spreading HIV, despite the fact that living with HIV is no longer a 'death sentence' due to the availability of antiretroviral therapy.
